| Obverse description | Central depiction of the royal coronation throne (Simhasana) adorned with elaborate ornamentation, flanked by the crescent moon and sun symbols in the upper field. The Devanagari legend शुभराज्याभिषेक (Shubha Rajyabhishek, meaning 'Auspicious Coronation') arcs across the upper portion of the field. The name of the sovereign, महेन्द्र वीर विक्रम (Mahendra Bir Bikram), and नेपाल (Nepal) appear in Devanagari script in the lower field, with the Vikrama Samvat date 2013 inscribed at the base. The design is surrounded by a milled border. |
