Obverse description Helmeted bust of Roma facing right, rendered in classical style with detailed diademed and crested helmet and flowing hair with ringlet curls at the neck. The legend OLYMPIA ROMA 1960 arcs around the upper periphery in Latin characters. An olive branch appears at the lower left of the field, and the five-ring Olympic symbol is prominently displayed at the bottom of the coin. A small engraver's signature is visible in the lower right field.

Reverse description Central design features an ornate six-arm Gothic cross with the Roman numeral I enclosed within a decorated oval cartouche at the center. The arms of the cross terminate in stylized lily blossoms, with additional floral and foliate motifs filling the angles between the arms. The legend PRO PROSPERITATE MUNDI arcs around the upper periphery, while ARGENTEUS appears along the lower periphery. The denomination 1000 is inscribed at the base of the central cross, all rendered within a plain raised border.
