| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, a drop earring, and a pearl necklace, after the portrait by Arnold Machin. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs along the left periphery and ELIZABETH II along the right, both separated by small triskelion devices at the cardinal points of the border. The date 1987 appears in the lower exergual area, with the Pobjoy Mint mark (PM) and the engraver's initials visible below the truncation.
