Obverse description Central field displays the crowned municipal arms of Worms within a decorated shield, featuring the characteristic cross and orb device of the city. The shield is flanked by ornamental scrollwork typical of early seventeenth-century German municipal coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, incorporating the city name and the date of issue. The coin is struck on an irregular flan, consistent with hammered production of the period.
