Obverse description Frankfurt imperial eagle displayed within a beaded inner circle, wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in the late Renaissance hammered style typical of Free Imperial City coinage. The eagle's breast is unshielded, consistent with Frankfurt municipal issues of this period. The circular legend runs between the inner beaded ring and the outer toothed border.

Reverse description Central field displays the numeral VIII above a cross pattee, with the date below, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The entire central device is encircled by a laurel wreath tied at the base, itself surrounded by a toothed outer border. The composition is characteristic of early seventeenth-century Frankfurt small silver coinage, indicating the coin's value of eight Heller or one Albus.
