Obverse description Central field bearing the sultanic tughra-style inscription in Arabic script arranged in multiple horizontal lines within a dotted border. The legend reads the ruler's name and patronymic in the traditional Ottoman formula. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered akce coinage, with slightly ragged edges and uneven relief. The Arabic calligraphy is executed in a compressed, angular style characteristic of Ottoman provincial mint production of the late sixteenth century.
