Obverse description Central field bearing a boldly struck Arabic legend in cursive Naskh script, arranged in multiple lines across the flan. The inscription, typical of Anatolian beylik coinage of the early 14th century, occupies the majority of the obverse field. The striking is characteristic of hand-hammered silver production, resulting in a slightly irregular flan with uneven relief. The field shows evidence of die wear consistent with contemporary circulation coinage.
