| Reverse description | The reverse field displays the Shi'a kalima in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy arranged across multiple horizontal registers: the shahada proclaiming 'La ilaha ill-Allah' (There is no god but God) occupies the upper register, followed by 'Muhammad rasul Allah' (Muhammad is the Messenger of God), and the declaration of Ali as the Wali of God in the central band. The lower register contains the name of the Twelfth Imam or a further Shi'a formula. The entire legend is framed within a beaded circular border, consistent with standard Safavid abbasi type coinage. |
