| Reverse description | Central field displaying the Shi'ah Kalimah in three lines of bold thuluth script: the shahada affirming the oneness of God, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the wilayah of Ali. Encircling the central inscription is a continuous marginal legend naming the Twelve Imams of Twelver Shi'a Islam, a hallmark of Safavid dynastic coinage. The legends fill the flan to its irregular edges, leaving minimal field visible. The calligraphy is deeply struck and bold, consistent with the hammered technique employed at the Ganja mint. |
