| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan of irregular round form bearing a multi-line Persian legend in bold Nasta'liq script arranged in three registers across the field, divided by horizontal cartouche lines. The central register carries the principal royal legend proclaiming Nader Shah's sovereignty over Iran and the world, with the mint name Nakhjawan (Nakhchivan) inscribed in the lower register. The script is deeply struck and shows characteristic Afsharid calligraphic style with pronounced relief. The coin's irregular planchet and manually struck nature result in slight weakness at the periphery. |
