| Obverse description | A multi-line Persian inscription in flowing nasta'liq calligraphy is contained within a raised inner octolobe cartouche occupying the central field. The inscription references the auspicious date of enthronement (AH 1150). Small decorative pellet or lozenge ornaments are interspersed within the cartouche. The flat surrounding field is plain, and the coin is bordered by a continuous beaded circle near the rim. |
