| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian legend in nasta'liq script arranged across the entire field, divided horizontally by a ruled line into two registers. The upper register contains the royal epithet and the name of the ruler Ibrahim Shah, while the lower register continues the poetic mint formula. Small floral or pellet ornaments punctuate the legend at intervals. The irregular flan edge is characteristic of hammered Afsharid coinage of the mid-eighteenth century. |

| Reverse description | Central cartouche containing the mint and date formula in bold nasta'liq script, reading 'zarb Ganja 1162' (struck at Ganja, AH 1162). The central inscription is framed by a wreath or floral spray border, itself enclosed within a prominent outer ring of raised pellets or beads encircling the entire design. The field within the cartouche shows the characteristic fluid calligraphic strokes of Afsharid provincial hammered coinage. |
