| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic inscription occupying the central field, giving the mint name Shamakhi and a partial Hijri date. The legends are arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, with the mint name above and the date numerals below, all in a plain unbordered field. The strike is characteristically irregular and off-center, as is common for hammered issues of the Shirvan Khanate. The surface shows typical granular texture of a hand-struck silver flan. |
