| Obverse description | The obverse bears the Shi'a kalima legend in elegant Arabic naskh script, disposed across the flan in multiple horizontal lines filling the entire field. The inscription reads the Islamic declaration of faith together with the Shi'a addition acknowledging Ali as the wali of God. The hammered flan is irregular and slightly oval in form, with the raised lettering showing bold relief characteristic of Safavid die-cutting. The field surface exhibits typical circulation wear and natural silver patination consistent with early seventeenth-century Persian minting practice. |
