| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg — dexter displaying a rampant lion, sinister bearing a rounded disc — surmounted by an archiepiscopal galero with tasselled cords and a crozier. The shield is enclosed within an inner beaded circle, with the circular Latin legend running between the inner and outer rope-twisted borders. Ornamental foliate stops separate the abbreviated words of the inscription. |
