Obverse description Armored and draped bust of King Frederik III facing right, set within a beaded inner circle. The royal effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the cuirass. A Latin legend surrounds the bust, separated from the inner circle by a narrow field. The outer rim is defined by a beaded border.

Reverse description A crowned, single-tailed rampant lion facing left, bearing a curved halberd — the traditional heraldic symbol of the Kingdom of Norway — occupies the central field within a beaded inner circle. A mintmark is positioned between the lion's forelegs and hindlegs. A Latin motto legend and the date 1661 appear in the outer field beyond the beaded circle, with the denomination inscription completing the design. The outer rim is bounded by a beaded border.
