Reverse description A circular incuse countermark applied to the otherwise plain reverse field, enclosing the capital letter 'Z' within a dotted or beaded inner border, identifying the issuing municipality of Zamora. The legend UN OCTAVO appears in the field to the right of the countermark, denoting the denomination of one-eighth real. The reverse field is otherwise flat and unadorned, consistent with countermarked municipal issues of this period in Mexico.
