Obverse description Central field bears the royal epithet 'Adl Shah' (Just King) rendered in bold thuluth script, with the Arabic legend عدل شاه occupying the primary field. The lettering is deeply struck in high relief against the flat hammered gold surface, characteristic of Safavid mint practice. The irregular flan exhibits typical characteristics of hand-hammered coinage, with the inscription filling the available die area. A dotted or segmented border frames the design at the periphery.
