Obverse description The obverse presents a purely epigraphic design typical of Fatimid fractional coinage, with multi-line Arabic Kufic script arranged horizontally across the flat field. The central legend references the Imam title and the name of the caliph Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah. The flan is small, irregular, and slightly convex, consistent with hand-hammered production. The script is bold and raised, with characteristic angular Kufic letterforms. No decorative border or marginal legend is present, leaving the calligraphic inscription as the sole design element.
