| Obverse description | A floriated cross pattée occupies the central field, with a fleur-de-lis at each terminal of the arms. At the center of the cross is a small lozenge or annulet. The circumferential legend reads HENRICVS IIII D G FRANC ET NAVA REX followed by the date, all within a beaded inner circle. The design is characteristic of the hammered silver coinage of Henri IV of France and Navarre, executed in the late Renaissance style. |
