Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Frederick William III, King of Prussia, facing right, rendered in moderate relief with naturalistic portrait details including short curled hair and a slight beard. The circumferential legend reads FRIEDR. WILH. III KOENIG V. PREUSSEN, separated by a beaded border. The mint letter D appears at the base of the bust, below the truncation. The overall style is consistent with early nineteenth-century Prussian coinage, though the coppery base-metal flan and softness of detail betray its nature as a contemporary counterfeit of the original silver issue.
