| Obverse description | Central circular field bearing a two-line Arabic religious inscription, likely the Shahada or a portion thereof, enclosed within a raised inner circle. A marginal Arabic legend encircles the central device, running along the border of the coin. The striking is characteristic of Ayyubid hammered coinage, with slightly irregular flan edges and bold, deeply impressed lettering typical of the Halab mint under Saladin. |
