Obverse description The central vignette presents the heraldic coat of arms of the City of Jever, a shield charged with a tower gateway, supported by two rampant golden lions on a lilac vertically-striped underprint. A ribbon below the shield carries the Latin motto 'DONAT URBI MARIA GUBERNACULA'. The denomination '150 Pfg.' is printed in large Gothic script within orange vertical-stripe side panels to the left and right, each inscribed 'Stadt Jever'. The lower register contains the payment text in Gothic script, with ornamental scrollwork bordering the panel.
