| Obverse description | The heraldic arms of the Central Bank of Malta occupy the central field, depicting a shield supported by two armoured knights standing as dexter and sinister supporters, each bearing a sword and shield, with a mural crown above and a scroll bearing the motto FIDUCIA FORTIS and the founding year 1968 below. Two eight-pointed Maltese crosses flank the design in the field at left and right. The legend CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1.50 EURO is inscribed along the lower periphery. The entire device is framed by a fine rope border, and the mirrored proof fields provide a sharp contrast to the frosted relief. |
