| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Mozaffar od-Din Shah Qajar rendered in bold relief, depicting the Shah in traditional Qajar royal attire including an elaborately decorated kulah (crown) adorned with jewels and a plume. The sovereign wears a heavily embroidered military uniform with epaulettes and decorations visible at the shoulder. The portrait occupies the majority of the coin's field, executed in the characteristically formal Qajar court portrait style with strong linear engraving. No peripheral legend is present on the obverse, with the royal effigy serving as the sole design element. |

| Reverse description | Central cartouche bearing a multi-line Persian royal inscription enclosed within a wreath of laurel or olive branches tied at the base, the branches extending symmetrically to either side in fine relief. The inscription within the cartouche identifies the ruler and mint in the formal Qajar titulature. The word 'طهران' (Tehran) appears at the base of the cartouche, denoting the mint city. The wreath frame and cartouche arrangement is characteristic of Qajar-era gold coinage, with the field otherwise plain and the legends rendered in a fluid Naskh script. |
