| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Peruvian national coat of arms at center, a quartered shield bearing a vicuna in the upper left canton, a cinchona tree in the upper right canton, and a cornucopia in the lower portion, surmounted by a civic wreath. The shield is flanked by a palm branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right, tied together at the base. The circular legend reads REPUB. PERUANA around the upper periphery, with LIMA and the fineness and assayer initials to the right, and the date below. A beaded border rings the entire field. |
