Obverse description Right-facing truncated effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, as designed by Raphael David Maklouf. The sovereign's portrait is rendered in high relief with fine drapery detail at the shoulder. The circular legend reads 'ELIZABETH II ISLE OF MAN' with the date '1994' and the engraver's initials 'RDM' and mint mark 'PM' completing the inscription around the periphery.

Reverse description A full-bodied Japanese Bobtail cat is depicted in profile, standing alert and facing left atop a horizontal ground line, its characteristic short pompom tail raised prominently to the right. A small kitten figure is visible at lower left near a tree stump, while stylised birds in flight appear in the upper field, evoking a naturalistic outdoor setting. A Pobjoy Mint privy mark appears at the lower right of the field. In the exergue, flanked by sprigs, the denomination inscription reads 'Au. 1/5 oz. CROWN' in two lines.
