Obverse description Central field dominated by the interlaced royal cypher 'FW' (Fridericus Wilhelmus) rendered in elaborate cursive script, surmounted by a large Hohenzollern crown with arched bands and orb finial. The mintmaster's initials appear in the lower field beneath the monogram. The overall composition is unlettered save for the initials, presenting the cypher as the sole heraldic device within an unadorned field.
