Reverse description The reverse displays the bold numeral '48' in the upper field, flanked by small stars to either side, indicating the coin's denomination as one forty-eighth of a Reichsthaler. Below, in four horizontal lines across the field, the legend reads 'EINEN REICHS THALER', identifying the standard to which the coin relates. The mint mark 'G·K' appears in the lower exergue, identifying the Königsberg mint. The lettering is large and clear in a Roman serif typeface consistent with Prussian minor coinage of the period.
