Obverse description Interlaced cursive monogram 'CA' (for Clemens August) occupying the central field, surmounted by an electoral princely crown rendered in relief. The monogram is executed in an elaborate intertwined script style typical of German ecclesiastical coinage of the mid-18th century. The coin is bordered by a toothed or milled inner rim encircling the entire design.

Reverse description Five-line central inscription within a plain linear circle, reading the fractional denomination and date in Roman-influenced lettering. The legend '48 / I / REICHS / THAL / 1745' denotes the coin's value as one forty-eighth of a Reichsthaler. An outer marginal legend, partially legible, runs around the periphery of the coin within a toothed border, consistent with standard German small coinage of the period.
