Obverse description Central quartered shield of arms surmounted by an ornate royal crown, the quarters displaying the Polish eagle (upper left), the Lithuanian Pahonia horseman (upper right), a second Pahonia (lower left), and the Saxon arms with ruten-cross (lower right). The shield is flanked by laurel branches forming a wreath tied at the base, the whole set within a finely beaded border. The mint-master's initial 'B' appears in the exergue below the wreath.
