Obverse description Crowned royal cypher of Augustus II (Augustus the Strong), composed of elaborately interlaced initials 'AR' (Augustus Rex) surmounted by a royal crown, centrally placed within the field. The monogram is rendered in a highly ornate Baroque style with decorative flourishes. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, identifying the ruler and his titles.

Reverse description Central field bears the large numeral '48' indicating the denomination as 1/48 of a Thaler, above a three-line Latin inscription reading 'EINEN THALER' (One Thaler) with the date below, the whole framed by laurel branches on either side. The composition is cleanly arranged with the denomination numeral prominently displayed in a plain field, consistent with the small silver coinage of Saxony-Poland of this period.
