| Obverse description | Central oval cartouche containing multi-line Arabic calligraphic inscription occupying the majority of the field. The cartouche is surrounded by an elaborate floral and foliate outer border rendered in low relief, with stylized palmette and arabesque ornamental motifs encircling the entire design. The overall composition is characteristic of Yemeni Imamate coinage, with the densely inscribed field leaving little open ground. |

| Reverse description | Central oval cartouche enclosing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold calligraphic script, stating the mint name, the shahada, the Hijri date 1371, and the denomination. The cartouche is framed by a circular band of Arabic inscription, with an outer border decorated with small rosette or star ornaments interspersed with floral motifs, all in low relief against a plain field. The large rendering of the mint name 'Sanaa' (صنعا) in the legend is the distinguishing feature of this variety. |
