| Obverse description | Central shield bearing the quartered arms of Austria-Burgundy, surmounted by a crown and encircled by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece with its pendant fleece at base. The heraldic composition is rendered in the late Renaissance style typical of Hispano-Burgundian coinage of Philip II. The crowned shield fills the central field, with the legend arranged around the periphery. |

| Reverse description | A floriated cross with a quatrefoil at its center occupies the full field, its arms terminating near the edge of the flan. The date, split between the upper two quarters, is divided by the mint mark — a tower — positioned at the top of the cross. The bold, angular cross design is characteristic of the billon petite monnaie coinage of the Spanish Netherlands in the late sixteenth century. |
