Obverse description Crowned Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed in relief within a raised border, with a shield bearing the mounted St. George device at the center of the breast. The mintmaster's initials А and Д appear in the lower field on either side of the eagle's tail, identifying assayer Alexander Dobronizskiy of the St. Petersburg Mint.
