| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Aphilas facing right, head covered with an ornate headcloth decorated on the front and terminating in a triangular ribbon at the rear. The king holds a whisk (fly-whisk) in his right hand, an attribute of royal authority. Above the effigy, a pellet set upon a crescent divides the Greek legend. The field is bordered by a ring of dots. |
