Reverse description The reverse presents a central field enclosed within a single linear cartouche, bearing a bold two-line nastaliq legend naming the invocation 'Ya Mohammad' (یا محمد) and the mint name Khoy (خوی), with decorative pellet ornaments scattered throughout the field. The Hijri date 1208 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the cartouche, rendered in abjad-style Eastern Arabic numerals. Above the cartouche, an additional line of script is visible outside the inner circle, consistent with the standard Qajar hammered coin format. The flan is irregular and slightly broader than the die, leaving portions of the edge unstruck, typical of hand-struck provincial mint production.
