Obverse description Armored bust of Emperor Rudolph II facing left, wearing a large ruffled collar, set within a beaded inner circle of laurel or leaf motifs. The date 1612 appears below the truncation of the bust. The surrounding legend is divided by the bust into two arcs, reading in Latin abbreviated titulature. The portrait displays the characteristic late-Renaissance style of the Hall Mint, with fine detail in the armor and collar.
