| Obverse description | Armored bust of Emperor Maximilian II facing right, wearing a crowned helmet, clad in ornate striped plate armour with decorative detailing. The emperor holds a long scepter adorned with a tulip motif in his right hand. The effigy is rendered in a Renaissance portrait style characteristic of Habsburg imperial coinage.
