Obverse description Armored bust of Emperor Maximilian II facing right, wearing a crowned helmet, clad in ornate striped plate armour with decorative detailing. The emperor holds a long scepter adorned with a tulip motif in his right hand. The effigy is rendered in a Renaissance portrait style characteristic of Habsburg imperial coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the Latin legend running continuously around the periphery of the coin.
