Obverse description Centrally placed oval quartered coat of arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, surmounted by a rampant lion in the upper sinister quarter and displaying the characteristic Salzburg symbols across the remaining quarters. The shield is flanked on either side by two ecclesiastical hat tassels (galero cordons) and topped by a processional cross with the archbishop's galero. A circular beaded border frames the design, with the Latin legend running clockwise around the periphery.
