Obverse description Draped laureate bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, set within a lozenge (diamond-shaped) cartouche formed by a raised border, with the mintmaster's initials ICB visible below the bust truncation. To the lower left of the cartouche appears the denomination fraction 1/4 within a small shield. A small figure of the Virgin Mary (Patrona Hungariae) is depicted to the right of the bust within the cartouche. The circular legend, divided by the corners of the lozenge, reads LEOPOLD · D · G · R · I · S · A · GER · HVN · BOH · REX, with the coin edge showing fine milled graining.
