| Obverse description | Draped laureate bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, set within a lozenge (diamond-shaped) cartouche formed by a raised border, with the mintmaster's initials ICB visible below the bust truncation. To the lower left of the cartouche appears the denomination fraction 1/4 within a small shield. A small figure of the Virgin Mary (Patrona Hungariae) is depicted to the right of the bust within the cartouche.
