Obverse description Armored bust of Joachim Frederick of Brandenburg facing right, depicted with a beard and elaborate ruffled collar, wearing ornate plate armor with decorative detailing. A crozier or staff is visible to the right of the figure. The effigy is rendered in the late Renaissance hammered style typical of German ecclesiastical coinage of the period.
