| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a large twelve-fold composite coat of arms of the Duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, featuring multiple quartered shields bearing lions rampant, a horse, chequered fields, and other dynastic charges, all enclosed within a decorative frame. The arms are rendered in fine relief in the early German Renaissance engraving style. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the shield along the outer border, separated from the central device by a beaded inner circle. |
