Obverse description Right-facing laureate and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand III occupying the majority of the coin's field, depicted with long hair, a pointed beard, and ornate armour decorated with elaborate engraving. The emperor wears a laurel wreath and a lace collar visible beneath the breastplate. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading FERDINANDVS III D G R I S A G H B REX, with the regnal numeral III appearing at the base of the bust.
