Reverse description Elaborately crowned composite coat of arms displaying the manifold quarterings of the Habsburg dominions, with a central escutcheon bearing the arms of Upper Alsace. The collar and badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspend from the shield below. Two smaller subsidiary shields flank the central composition, with the Habsburg arms at right and those of Ferrette (Pfirt) at left, both interrupting the encircling Latin legend. The overall heraldic arrangement is characteristic of the dynastic display coinage issued by Ferdinand II for his Upper Alsatian territories.
