Obverse description Laureate and armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece suspended around the shoulders. The effigy is rendered in high relief within an inner beaded circle. The Latin legend encircles the portrait, identifying the emperor by name and his imperial and royal titles.
