Obverse description Central field features an ornate baroque cartouche bearing the interlaced cypher monogram of Bishop Christoph Franz von Hutten, surmounted by a princely crown supported by two flanking supporters. The mantle or drapery flanks the shield on either side. The surrounding legend reads DEVS DAT CVI VVLT (God gives to whom He wills), arranged along the upper periphery within a beaded inner border.

Reverse description Central shield displays the quartered arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg and the personal arms of the von Hutten family, surmounted by a mitre and crozier with additional ecclesiastical insignia above. Elaborate baroque scrollwork and acanthus mantling flank the escutcheon. The circular legend CRISTOPH FRANC D G EP HERB S R I PR FR OR DV surrounds the design. The date 1728 appears in the lower exergue, divided by the fraction mark 1/4 indicating the denomination.
