| Obverse description | Central field bears the sultan's name and titles in four lines of Arabic script within a circular beaded border. The legend reads: 'Sultan / of the Two Lands and Two Seas / Sultan Abd al-Hamid / Khan, may his victory be glorious.' The script is boldly rendered in the Ottoman tughra tradition, filling the coin's face. A hole is visible near the lower edge, consistent with use as a pendant or jewelry piece. The coin displays characteristic irregularities in the die work indicative of a contemporary counterfeit of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central field contains a three-line Arabic inscription giving the mint name and Islamic regnal year, all within a beaded circular border. The legend reads: 'Struck in / Tunis / 1188.' Above the inscription, a decorative arrangement of pellets or dots is visible in the upper field. A hole is present near the lower rim, mirroring the obverse, confirming the coin's secondary use as a jewelry mount. The die execution shows the crude workmanship typical of a contemporary imitation of the official Tunisian sultani coinage. |
