Reverse description Central motif consists of a windlass or winding apparatus set within an elaborately shaped baroque cartouche, symbolising the mining or industrial activity of the county. Rays of light emanate from above the cartouche, emphasising the device's emblematic character. The Latin motto .SOLERTIA VINCIT. (Skill conquers) arcs along the upper periphery as the principal legend. The four digits of the date 1749 are divided, with 17 appearing at the lower left and 49 at the lower right of the cartouche, below the central device.
