Obverse description Crowned shield bearing a rampant lion passant, representing the arms of Jülich-Berg, positioned centrally within a raised circular border. The heraldic lion is depicted in profile facing right with forepaw raised, rendered in low relief on a plain field. A large ornate crown surmounts the shield, its arches and jeweled rim clearly articulated. The entire device is contained within a single inner circle, with no peripheral legend on the obverse.
